Antonio Ben Chimol worked in Milan and Paris as a fashion designer for quite a few years but had his first major style breakthrough in 1996 when he created a bracelet from hi-tech car springs and dubbed it the Masai Tech Bracelet. Ben Chimol calls his works "Pure Pieces" because they are made by combining natural materials such as steel, leather, and precious gems with industrial materials such as plastics or materials not often used by traditional jewelry designers. Most of the year, Antonio Ben Chimol works out of his studio in Barcelona. He is originally from Bologna. He lives at the foot of Monte Moro Mountain with the view of a statue from 1866. As a young boy it was suggested that he might want to go into the dental field, however his creative ingenuity wouldn't be stopped and he became a designer instead.
